Introduction;-
This project will be 10 years old by 2017, so beneficiaries are looking ahead to remember how it all started and what each and every beneficiary has gained from the 600 Euro annual contribution by Djouke for this project during a celebration that will take place on a date yet to be fixed in 2017.
This year the money came in two installements 400Euros and then 200 Euro. In November 2016, 200Euros was received and this report tell us how that money was used.
After listening to the opinion of the project owner, Djouke who expressed the necessity to use this money to promote the growth of her project, we composed pig feed and gave to the 10 beneficiaries of 2016 in order to help them accomplish their mission of POG (Passing On the Gift).
REPONSIBILITIES OF THE PROJECT COORDINATOR;-
Purchase all the feed ingredients and prepare the feed at the cooperative hall.
First of all acknowledge receipt of the money and proceed to exchange to CFA.
Make phone calls to all beneficiaries to come and collect their feed at once.
Make a follow-up visit to the pig farms of all the beneficiaries to evaluate the state of the animals and the condition under which they are kept, take photos and treat those that require treatment.
Prepare a detail report and submit to project donor on the progress of the project.
FIELD FINDINGS;-
One of the pigs farrowed already (Atah Richard Tebid's own), most others have been crossed meanwhile heat is still being observed in some. Iron dextran treatment was given to the piglets of Atah Rchard and an extra bag of feed given to him as motivation for good feeding since the pig of Mankah florence died shortly after she received it. (See last report to know the above names). The brown piglet with a white bar you see in the last report is the pig that has farrowed first.
DIFFICULTIES FACED;-
The main difficulty faced this time was the fact that all the above activities took place during the strike action week when the market was closed and open only at specific moments and vehicles were not allowed to move freely.
That is why not everybody came to collect the feed in Bamenda but the project coordinator had to take the feed to the resident of some beneficiaries who were not present when the calm return to Bamenda.
The crisis were the worst ever witness over the years and the days ahead are very unpredictable because government is slow and not even willing to have sincere dialogue with the protesting teachers and lawyers whose demands are being supported by all patriotic english speaking Cameroonian minority.
(This was the incident of huge collsion between English-speaking Cameroonian's protest group and the government at Bamenda in Nov and Dec, 2016. It was reported by some international news like BBC News (its article) )
FINANCIAL STATEMENT;-

(Exchange rate was poor because the black market was locked due to the Anglophone strike action)
